It just occurred to me that my weight loss blog has slowly transformed into a yoga blog, teeheehee :) I can’t help myself…I just keep falling deeper and deeper in love with my practice. It’s been 7 months (hard to believe!) since I started yoga and since then my life has changed COMPLETELY and from inside out, literally :) Just yesterday, for example, a colleague of mine came up to me and said “wow, Ria, you’ve really lost a lot of weight!” . It’s funny, though, because I feel I haven’t been losing weight lately. And in fact, I still weigh much more than I used to. What’s different, however, is now I feel more toned and fit, rather than just slim. Backtracking, in 2002 I had lost 80 pounds and well, suffice it to say I was super thin but saggy and errr….nevermind :) Haha.

Anyway, I told my colleague that besides watching what I eat, it is yoga that really has made a difference in my body. Add to that, despite all the stress I face, I feel less overwhelmed by it and I feel I can manage it better.

With that said, I’d like to share with you my dear readers this practice that I have fallen for :) One of my yoga teachers (who so patiently worked on my cobras :) ), along with her partners, just opened a center called Urban Ashram Manila and is holding an open house from August 20-September 3. For those who are asking me about my weight loss regimen, here it is…mindful eating and yoga. Do try it out sometime. During the open house there will be free yoga classes.
