Among my favorite forms of exercise (mainly because it offers the least amount of pain and effort for me!) is brisk walking with my dog, Bubba. To an extent, it is also because of him that I consistently get some exercise done because he pesters me until I give in to taking him for a walk, hehe. It’s a good thing though
Since it’s summer, however, I try to walk later in the day or much earlier in the morning but because sometimes my schedule will not permit it, I am forced to walk at hours in which the sun is scorching hot. Much as I hate putting on sunblock and wearing a Sun Hat or shades for that matter, I have begun doing so because I recognize how damaging the sun can be to one’s skin.
Other things I have incorporated to my daily exercise routines now that it’s summer is increasing my water intake to avoid dehydration, eating lots of fruits (such as melons and watermelons), and staying in the shadier parts of the street/park when we walk
What other summer sun protection strategies/tips can you share? feel free to leave them in the comments section
