I think my last few posts (or should I say many of my recent posts since January!) have highlighted how much I love yoga, right? I love how it has changed me in so many ways. Physically, it has made me leaner (not necessarily thinner I must admit) but, like my colleague Lala said the other day, there’s something about the posture that makes me look “taller” and “leaner” (hmmm…so there goes my need for hgh releasers for added height, huh? haha). I also notice that my arms are not as flabby as they used to be (but, gah, izzzstillsobig. sigh). Emotionally, I am calmer and I can deal with stress better. And well, psychologically, I guess reading all my previous posts about yoga can just show how much it has really changed right?
So anyway, a few days ago, one of my yoga teachers told me about a 30-day yoga challenge that she did (or something like that) a few years back in the states and that got me thinking back to a status message I had posted right before Easter. I had said that since my no-mobile-internet challenge had finished (which was a 40 day sacrifice for lent), I needed a new one and I had listed doing y0ga for 30 days straight as my next challenge. I had gone 6 days straight but a lunch at my favorite “soup” place kinda threw me off so I was about to throw in the towel and say forget about it. But then when my teacher Bow told me about the challenge, she said it didn’t have to be 30 days straight, technically. The task was to do 30 yoga sessions within a 30 day period. Hmmm….and that came right after I had done 2 sessions in one day teeeheeheee.

So there. I decided to give this 30 day challenge a shot. I took out my calendar and journalled the first 12 days already and well, lets see how this goes! While I was journalling my days of yoga thus far, I also included the difficulties and progress I made per day, such as the difficulty I had in yin a few days back because I couldn’t find stillness, finally making it into saddle with no props at all, and finally finding my way to a rooted tree for the first time ever
Anyway….so far 12 days, 12 sessions. Yahoo
Oh, I decided, however, to include self-practice in the count of the 30 days teeeheeheee
Wish me luck!!!
