I just realized, in a little over a week, this blog will turn one year old :)

Yes, it’s been almost a year since I embarked on the quest to be a Fat Girl No More. I have had successes along the way, some pit stops, and even some failures, but I have to admit, having this blog has helped me keep my diet on track. I have lost about 30 pounds, give or take a few (forgive me…it was the holidays haha! plus I was quite stressed these past two weeks so I kinda slipped up a wee bit mwahahaha!!!).The things that have changed, however, is what I think has made the greatest difference. For one, I do not eat mindlessly as often as I used to. True that extreme stresses can push me over the edge, but many times this past year, I was able to overcome that. Other things that have changed include:

  • Conscious awareness to get moving
  • Healthier lifestyle choices such as not ordering take out as often as I used to
  • Drinking more water
  • Giving up the search for the best or most effective fat burner pill because the pills will work for awhile but not forever
  • Changing habits such as where I park and the like
  • Wearing high heels! Haha. Yes, my high heels have helped a lot in the conditioning of my thighs!!!

Things I still have to work on, however, are lessening intake of caffeine and other not-so-healthy things every now and then hehe :)
