Last week I ran into an old colleague of mine who jokingly quipped…”what are you on?!?” in reference to my weight loss. He kiddingly said if I was on any substance, maybe  I could share. We had a good laugh about it and I just said I really am working very hard at this weight loss battle. While I cannot deny that there may be some weight loss pills that work, I’m not taking any of them for now. For one, um…I don’t wanna spend my money on it! Haha. Secondly, I decided to try it first on my own, but if it wouldn’t work, I was willing to give it a try. Earlier on, I did try taking wheatgrass drinks and what not, but I didn’t like it so that just fueled me to work as hard as I can to get this to work.

What really has worked for me are the following:

  • Taking meals in moderation
  • Lessening carb intake (much as I love rice!)
  • Giving in to cravings every now and then
  • Avoiding circumstances where food is inevitable (food events for example)
  • Focusing on the bigger picture :)

Next time I’ll try to write another more detailed post about the mental battle that comes with the weight loss journey :)
