Eeewwww…..today I woke up with chubby cheeks.

Yes. You read that right. I soooo have chubby cheeks today and puffy eyes. Wanna know why?

I couldn’t resist and had some Chinese food for dinner. Sadness. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I truly, truly enjoyed the yang chow fried rice I had (oh, and to my credit, I didn’t binge on it…I ate just a fair amount to satisfy my cravings but not overindulge), but something about Chinese cuisine makes me puff up. In fact, when I eat too much, my fingers get all fat and bloated that my rings won’t fit. And the feet….errrr…let’s not even talk about that.

So….last nights yummy dinner haunted me all day today. Haha. I had to trade in my usualĀ  diamond stud earrings (which tends to alternate with my favorite pair of pearl earrings) to one of those long dangly chandelier earrrings just to, um, attempt to disguise my chubby cheeks!!! Harhar.

Seriously though, I was reminded today of two things because of my waking up with the chubby cheeks:

  1. I need to increase my water intake. Since I lost weight, I’ve slowly become less conscious about drinking water, often opting for my milk tea or green tea. And um…let’s not forget my mandatory cup (okay okay, mug…giant mug) of coffee which my doctor keeps telling me to lessen! Although yes, caffeine can be a diuretic, I should really drink less of it and just have more of plain water instead.
  2. I have to watch the amount of sodium/salt I take in, especially during certain times of the month where I tend to bloat more.

So….today I say shoo dear chubby cheeks…I only like you when you’re caused by my favorite yummy pink stuff. Teeheeheee….
