Last Friday I finally pulled myself up by my bootstraps and faced the music: I dragged myself to my doctors clinic after months of hiding and decided to just see what she has to say and move on from there. Much as I love her to bits, I hate having to come see her, especially when I know things aren’t going so well (which obviously is the case here). As I have blogged about in the past, I’ve been contending with PCOS for the past few years and while things have gotten much, much better, last September I had a bad menstrual cycle which prompted my doc to have some tests done (errrr….which I ignored till November teeeeheeeeheeee….).
Anyway, finally I got there and well, things were both good and not-so-good. Let’s not go in to the nitty gritty of things but lemme share the fun part of the visit. The conversation went a little bit like this:
Doc: Wow, you’re looking good
Much better than when I last saw you.
Me: Gee, thanks. I’m trying.
Doc: Great. That will help a lot, especially since you tell me you don’t want to take the meds anymore (referring to the medication I have to take which I finally have completely given up on…and she has finally agreed to let me do so for now). So, how much weight have you lost? Wait, let me see (browses through her files) Wow…you…um…haven’t been back to see me in over a year. Bad bad bad. But…to be fair, you’ve lost (counts the difference) 14 kilos! Keep it up!
Yeesssss…..14 kilos. I haven’t really been monitoring my weight too closely, but I think I’ll use that as my official weigh-in count.
Then I went to my post-Thirstday (haha…I toldya margaritas will be the death of my diet. And my liver for that matter mwahahaha) dinner with an old college friend of mine and since I couldn’t eat all day because I was rightfully worried about my appointment, we ended up ordering more than our usual chicken fingers at Fridays. Oh…and we had dessert.

Fridays Chocolate Molten Turtle....yuuuuummmmmmm......but but but....the mudpie is much much much yummier teeeheeeheee
Not a very brilliant way of celebrating a 14-kilo weight loss, huh? What was I thinking, I tell ya….teeeheeeheeee…..
Then again, every now and then a bit of a celebration isn’t such a bad thing, right??? Mwahahaha.
