Last Tuesday, my cousin commented at my weight loss and asked if I enrolled in a gym or if I was doing any specific diet. I told her that I’m done with the whole one-kind-of-food only diet, soup diets, cleansing detox, etcetera etcetera. Also, much as I would love to enroll in the gym, I really simply do not have the time. All I have done, I told her (of course besides the psychological/mental reframing I’ve been doing) is making little changes in my lifestyle and eating patterns that help reduce body fat more effectively. These include the following:
- Less carbs, but not completely eliminate. No way I can do that!
- No more softdrinks! Very, very occasionally if ever.
- Substituting things I like to a low-fat/reduced fat option, such as getting a light mocha frap instead of the regular if ever
- Limiting high calorie food intake
- Avoiding fast food
- Walking. Walking. Walking
These are basically what I keep in mind. And like I said, these little changes, they make a big, big difference.
