I almost burst out laughing when someone at the clinic said that to me a few days ago. I never really thought of myself as one to “glow” but I realized when I looked at the mirror that I do have a different kind of glow to myself now, and it’s not just the makeup. It also goes beyond the being happy, although I know that that does add a lot to the way I look now.
What I see as a major influence to making my skin glow (which I suppose translates to an overall clearness in my aura) is the fact that I drink a lot of water now and I have successfully given up my love affair with soda. I also have given up many of the sugary drinks I used to consume a lot of, such as iced tea and fruit juice drinks, although I still get my occasional fix of milk tea (especially the Mine Shine milk tea from 7-11!). In general, however, I make it a point to drink lots and lots of water, much as I really don’t like it much. I never really thought it would make much of a difference, but apparently I was wrong once again hehe.
To be fair, I will also attribute my skin’s better health to the products I use now and to the fact that I have been more consistent in using moisturizers and the like. This definitely is a vast improvement from my old habits, which really revolved around a soap-and-water wash and occasional meet-ups with pimple or acne scar creams on the rare instances when I get flare-ups. I suppose this just goes to prove the cliché “prevention is better than cure” true, right? Since I’ve been taking care of myself, no more flare ups
