Seriously, however, I applaud ABS-CBN for acquiring the rights for the Biggest Loser franchise. It’s about time that Filipinos recognize that obesity IS ALSO a problem in our country! This can surely help millions of Filipinos like me who are struggling with weight loss.
Anyway, while I may not have met the cut-off weight for auditions, I will definitely keep an eye out for this show. Hopefully I can also pick up lessons along the way.
The call for auditions was formally announced in last nights Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash of 2010 finale. Auditions are open to men and women ages 18-40, are in generally good health (I suppose this means no underlying conditions such as hypertension?), and meet the minimum weight requirement of 250 pounds for men and 200 for women. Auditions will be held in the following dates and venues:
- July 9, PBB Activity Center
- July 16, Metro Town Mall – Tarlac
- July 30, Park Mall Cebu
- August 6, Embarcadero de Legazpi, Legaspi City
- August 13 SM City Iloilo.
Interested applicants must bring a valid ID, a close-up photo and a full-body photo.
